I typically don’t post too much personal updates on my blog, but I figured what the heck. 🙂
After several weeks filled with sessions and weddings during the weekends, it was fantastic to have a week off from sessions. I picked right back up with sessions on Saturday and have 5 more this week. Currently, I am taking sessions for next week, but only have a few openings left!
Which brings me to my next topic… a while ago, I posted that I was diagnosed with complete placenta previa. Thankfully, I have yet to have any complications related to this pregnancy issue, hence me still taking on sessions and not being on bedrest. In fact, at my last OB a couple of weeks ago, my doctor did a quick check with the not-so-great resolution ultrasound. So, she didn’t get a very clear look at things, but things seemed to have improved!! She said that she was encouraged by the results! I have a follow-up ultrasound in a couple of weeks, so maybe things will have cleared up by then. Both my OBGYN and the Perinatologist told me that the likelihood of my placenta moving was slim to none, so if it does correct itself, I’ve certainly beaten the odds!! More to come, but as of right now, I’m continuing to work up until if/when something happens.
Finally, I made the decision to purchase Canon’s new crop camera, the 50d. With how fast Digital SLR technology is advancing, I figured I better upgrade before next wedding season. Since I don’t have a wedding until next June, I will be using this camera for my studio sessions. I used it for the first time this past Saturday, and all I have to say is WOW!! What a camera! My only problem is I went to upload the pictures into my photo editing software, and it did not recognize the file format from the 50d. Thank goodness for Google, because I found out that lots of people are having this problem and waiting for an update. Someone recommended a method for converting the files to a different file name and importing that file into my photo editing software. Basically, I went into panic mode for about 15 minutes, but now, as you can tell from the next blog postings, things turned out ok in the end. 🙂
Ok… I think that’s about it. Hope everyone had a great weekend and stayed warm! I sure am excited for some snow, some turkey, and Christmas shopping!!
