I’m back from vacation and ready to share my exciting news! Here is the first one, if you want to watch it. 🙂
Courtesy of another fellow photographer, Jenn Barnett, I have decided to start using an awesome photo software called Showit Web. There are a few ways I will utilize this program. First of all, all of my portfolios are going to be shown this way to music. For those of who you happen to read my blog religiously, occasionally, or if this is your first time, please feel free to give me your feedback regarding the new presentation. Please see the new poll to the left!
In addition, with every scheduled session or wedding from this point forward, there will be a highlight slideshow put together online to music for people to send to family & friends. As you can see above, it’s a really neat way to show off your pictures. And, if you really like the highlight slideshow, you have the option to order it as a DVD or as a downloadable file to your iPod or video MP3 player!
Finally, my last bit of exciting news is that I have decided to take on an associate photographer. Her name is Betsy Wall, and I’ve worked with her on several occasions. She is really a talented photographer with a natural eye for composition & lighting. I am already booked up for June of next year and hate to turn away business. This way, people still have an option to go through Jackie Boldt Photography and get my same packages & options as they would with me. Betsy is also alot more reasonably priced than I am, so that is another good option for some people! I am very excited to be having her take on some weddings with me next year and some more on her own. Here is a link to her page on my website if you want to check out her bio and her work. So, that’s about it! If anyone has any feedback, I would love to hear it. Thanks so much!!!

Hurray! I’m so excited – and the slide shows look great!

I like it, but the music is depressing! If that were my child, I would be dwelling on how she won’t be that age for long. It actually made me sad watching the slideshow.
