I finally made the decision to invest quite a bit of money into some new photo equipment. I purchased Canon’s 5D, 24-70 f/2.8 zoom lens, and the 135 f/2 prime lens. I can’t wait to really break them in at my photo sessions this weekend! Obviously, I took a moment to play with my new “toys” tonight when my son was cruising around our coffee table and couch. Not alot of artistic touch went into these, mind you. I was simply sitting on the couch relaxing with the camera in my hand. 🙂
When I was editing these pictures, I couldn’t believe the color saturations and the nice blur the lens provided. I barely had to do any editing. For those photo buffs out there, these were taken at 1600 ISO!!! I’m amazed that it took me this long to purchase this camera.

I can’t wait for my 5d to come in! I’m wishing and hoping it’ll leave me more comfortable using a higher ISO (less flash, less grain!) These images are incredible for 1600 ISO…

I was looking all over to see what camera & lens you use – and finally found it!
Your pix are amazing! Especially the kids portfolio – I was in awe at the vivid colors and the way the camera captures their eyes – it tells so much of their personalities… Wow!
My sisters are photographers (www.erinandiphoto.com) and I help them occasionally. I’ve recently been doing more and more shoots on my own for friends as well…
Very nice work! And great site!
(found you through craigslist, BTW!)
