I shot my first Sunday wedding yesterday when I was the photographer for Mike & Erin’s wedding. I was only there for 4 hours, but I was still able to get lots of great pictures! They were married at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in West St. Paul, with their reception to follow at the St. Paul Hotel in Downtown St. Paul. Erin’s mom was married in the same church, which was very special for both Erin & her mom. It was a gorgeous church, however it was one of the darkest ones that I have worked with to date! Not only were all of the walls dark, but there were hardly any windows… and the only windows were stained glass. 🙂 Like I said, gorgeous, but a challenge photographing. We then headed over to Irvine Park after the ceremony for some fun shots of the bride & groom and bridal party. Enjoy the pictures!
Erin’s mom has this same shot at this same window from her wedding day!
The two ring bearers waiting for the ceremony to start 😉
This was the most adorable thing! He passed right out during the ceremony! 🙂
The flower girl getting ready to throw some leaves 😉
Talk about your unique wedding party shots!!
Kids being kids!
Erin is a shoe person and a dance instructor at a dance studio in Woodbury. So, we got a couple fun & creative shots of her kicking some leaves.
Cleaning off the messy cake on her face 🙂
I’ve never shot a wedding/reception at the St. Paul Hotel. Oh… my… gosh! That ballroom is gorgeous!! Even though I did not stay through dinner, I was able to get some cool shots of the room and centerpieces.
