Lydia Marie – A newborn session

I always leave a little time on my schedule for a session that would need to be rescheduled or for particular sessions that pop up. Newborn sessions are one of those types of sessions, since there is a short window when a newborn is still a newborn. I tried something different with this newborn that I haven’t tried before. Usually I try to see if we can have the baby be awake for part of it, however with how new Lydia was just over a week old and still very sleepy. So, we went with it and tried some posing with her sleeping. She did amazing and looked beautiful. I am so excited about these photos! I actually snagged one photo from the session and threw it up on my home page slideshow. It’s only a half smile that I was able to catch, which is still super cute! Oh, and I forgot to mention that Lydia’s parents are Amanda and Eric from a wedding I shot in Chaska last April. It was wonderful to see them again as new parents to beautiful Lydia Marie.
