I was asked to photograph an event on March 3rd at the University Club in St. Paul. It’s for a charity called Spare Key. It’s an organization that helps families with children in the hospital for long periods of time. They work in conjunction with big mortgage companies like Wells Fargo and U.S. Bank, along with donations from people and companies, to pay 1 month’s mortgage for the family. There was a recipient family at the event, which was called “Let’s Groove”, who spoke about how much Spare Key helped them during their time of need. Tim Mahoney was the special guest of the evening, as well as the entertainment. Belinda Jensen, meteorologist from Kare 11, was the emcee for the special event. For more information about Spare Key, please visit http://www.sparekey.org.

Another couple enjoying the evening…
Gabe was boy who was in the hospital directly after he was born, due to a heart condition that required surgery. As you can see, he is doing much better at 7 months of age.

I love this shot of the food…nummy!

Gabe’s older sister was the first one on the dance floor. She wasn’t shy at all!
The Leis were for a game played at the end of the night and the flashing glasses were from last year’s event.

Oh Jackie, these are wonderful! This is Emma and Gabe’s mom and I have been desperately trying to get some pictures of the evening. Is there anyway you could email me a few of the kiddos so I can post them on my blog?
I am really, really impressed with your work. I would love to set something up with you and the kiddos before Gabe’s next surgery in May. I would love it if you emailed me…
