I had such a nice and relaxing vacation down in Kansas City with my husband and little boy. Even though it wasn’t technically a vacation (we were there for a friend’s wedding), it sure felt like one! Anyway, here are some fun pictures from the trip.
The night we checked in, severe storms rolled through. There were tornado warnings everywhere! Then, around 9:30 or so, the hotel staff had a bullhorn on the main level shouting up to everyone to evacuate their rooms and head down to the garage due to a tornado touchdown close to where we were. I wasn’t too scared, but it was still a little bit freaky. These were some pictures I got off our balcony before all the chaos ensued 🙂
The Plaza… a nice little area to go shopping, walk alot, and eat some nummy food 🙂
My boy enjoying the ride 🙂
We decided to go to this Mexican restaurant called Baja 600. It was so good! Hands down, the best daiquiri I’ve had north of the border.
They also had an option to order guacamole made tableside, fresh! That was a neat experience for only $9. 🙂
The reception was held in a photographer’s studio! It was amazing! I was drooling the entire time trying to envision what I would do with a place like this. Here is the link to the photographer’s website: http://www.benweddle.com/
