I think I’m in love with Friday weddings. Since they take place on a Friday, it’s hard to make them an all-day marathon, so everything is squeezed into the afternoon & night. That way, things keep moving! Anyway, onto my post about Jackie & Kevin’s wedding day! My first wedding of the weekend took place at the Wildwood Lodge in Lake Elmo. I was very familiar with this couple since I shot their engagement pictures and created a DVD Slideshow for their reception. They were very easy to photograph and posed so naturally in front of the camera. Here are my favorites from their wedding.
The lighting was absolutely fabulous at this facility! There were lots and lots of windows that created a wonderful light to catch the green & blue in her eyes, as you can see from the following pictures.
Kevin & Jackie didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony. I love when couples do that! It was fun having to “hide” the bride before the groom came out for his pictures.
I think the following pictures represents one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen happen during a wedding. Just as the officiant was getting to their vows, about 10 camera viewfinders popped up out of the crowd. I almost lost it 🙂

Jackie is a nanny for a little boy named Owen. He was a great photo subject for me during the reception.
The First Dance of the couple
Jackie shared a dance with her mother for the Mother/Daughter dance. They danced to the song “In My Daughter’s Eyes” by Faith Hill. I got choked up just watching them!

Congrats to Jackie & Kevin! You had a beautiful wedding day!!!
